Blue Wave For Diehl for U.S. Senate

Diehl Wins FOP Endorsement While Warren Trashes Criminal Justice System Again

Lowell, MA – Today Geoff Diehl, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, announced that the Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) has formally endorsed.  He made this announcement while Senator Elizabeth Warren was campaigning in Ohio and once again trashing the criminal justice system.

“I am so thankful for our police keeping us safe.  I am deeply disappointed that Warren has continued her war on the criminal justice system,” said Diehl.

Warren today said “We have a criminal justice system that destroys lives, that tears communities apart…”

“She should have apologized for calling the criminal justice system racist from front to back.  Today she has reconfirmed her disdain for law and order.  Warren should be supporting those who put their lives on the line to protect us, not using them for rally rhetoric,” said Diehl.

Diehl’s candidacy has been endorsed by 18law enforcement groups which is the largest coalition of police unions to back a single candidate in decades.

“Representative Diehl is a strong supporter of law enforcement,” wrote Michael Talbot, FOP’s Legislative Director in the official endorsement communication sent to the campaign. “The Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police is proud to announce our endorsement of Geoff Diehl for US Senate. We would ask all our members to support Representative Diehl in his bid for the Senate seat currently held by Elizabeth Warren.”

“It’s an honor for me to receive this endorsement along with 17 other law enforcement groups—most of whom are crossing traditional party lines,” said Representative Diehl. “The only blue wave that’s going to impact Massachusetts is the tremendous, unified support of the law enforcement community behind my campaign to give Massachusetts a voice they don’t have.”

Earlier in the day Diehlreleased a video of three Massachusetts Congressional members unable to name a Warren accomplishment.

Congressional members Seth Moulton, Mike Capuano and Katherine Clark were stumped when asked could they name one thing she has passed for the Commonwealth.

“This video should not be surprising considering that from the moment Warren got elected, she has put Massachusetts in the rearview mirror.  Her top priority is her presidential ambitions not our state. She cannot even stay here for 5 days,” said Diehl.  “Massachusetts deserves a Senator who will work for us.”

Warren cares so little about Massachusetts, she is on the campaign trail in Wisconsin and Ohio instead of New Bedford or Gloucester.

“I will be 100% for Massachusetts!” said Diehl.
