Diehl Wins Debate

Boston, MA—Tonight at the WBZ debate underdog Geoff Diehl, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, delivered a decisive defeat to Senator Elizabeth Warren. Geoff Diehl cares about your house, not The White House.

After a week of spiraling down due to a botched video, Warren was unable to make a comeback after coming unglued. Diehl put Warren on the defensive on cutting taxes, the economy, running for President in 2020, and violating President Obama’s Lobbying Ban.

Elizabeth Warren didn’t even remember her own record. In March 2011, Gail Hillebrand was hired to a Senior Leadership Position At CFPB To Serve As Associate Director Of Consumer Education And Engagement. Hillebrand was a Registered Federal Lobbyist For The Consumers Union Of The US from 2002 To 2010. On November 9, 2010 Warren Had A Meeting With Hillebrand, Listed As The “Financial Services Campaign Manager” At The Consumers Union, At CFPB Headquarters.

Hillebrand’s Hiring Appears To Directly Contradict The President’s Lobbyist Ban, Which Prohibited Registered Lobbyists From Seeking Or Accepting Employment With Any
Executive Agency They Lobbied Within The Two Years Before The Appointment.
While Elizabeth Warren calls our police officers and criminal justice system ‘racist -front to back,’ Geoff Diehl calls them heroes. Geoff Diehl has been endorsed by the Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association, Weymouth Superior Officers Association, Plymouth County Police Officer’s Association, Worcester Police Union Local 911, Everett Police Superior Officers Local 95, Everett Police Patrolman’s Local 94, New England Benevolent Police Association, Norfolk County Correction Officers, Massachusetts Municipal Police Coalition, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Employees Local 207, Sheriff Tom Hodgson, Sheriff Jim Cummings, and Sheriff Lew.
Senator Warren is so focused on pursing the presidency in 2020 that she’s confused her opponents.

SHERIFF MCDONALD ENDORSES DIEHL: Law Enforcement Overwhelmingly Backs Geoff Diehl

Plymouth, MA…Today Representative Geoff Diehl, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, proudly announced that he has received the endorsement of Sheriff Joe McDonald. Diehl has now won the endorsement of four Massachusetts Sheriffs in addition to corrections officers and police unions across the Commonwealth.

“We know and trust Geoff Diehl, a local legislator who has steadfastly supported the law enforcement community and will be our best possible advocate in Washington,”

said Sheriff Joe McDonald. “He understands the issues facing Plymouth County and I am proud to endorse his candidacy for the United States Senate.”

Support from the law enforcement community across the Commonwealth has surged since Diehl’s decisive win the primary. Yesterday, Diehl proudly announced the endorsement of Worcester’s NEPBA Local 911 which rarely endorses candidates. Among the law enforcement groups that have publicly endorsed the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate:

  • Sheriff Tom Hodgson
  • Sheriff Jim Cummings
  • Sheriff Lew Evangelidis
  • Everett Police Superior Officers Local 95
  • Everett Police Patrolman’s Local 94
  • Worcester Police Local 911
  • Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association

  • Plymouth County Corrections Officers

Diehl Wins Federal Law Enforcement Nod

BOSTON, MA—Geoff Diehl has received the official endorsement of the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Council Local 207 the campaign announced today. The endorsement by the Boston-based ICE Council Local 207 represents the 9thlaw enforcement agency association to publicly back the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate and marks the first federal agency association to publicly support his bid to unseat Elizabeth Warren. This is the first public endorsement ever of a Massachusetts candidate.

“As the next U.S. Senator from Massachusetts, my goal will be to empower the men and women in the field instead of undermining them,” said Rep. Diehl. “Our officers need to feel that we support their efforts to keep our state safe and that they’ll have the resources for them to do their jobs—they have enough adversaries without having to worry about their elected officials.”

“On behalf of the men and women of the Boston, Massachusetts based National ICE Council Local 207 whom I represent, I am proud to endorse Geoff Diehl for U.S. Senate,” said Joe Parlon, President of ICE Council Local 207.  “At a time like this, with our officers and personnel under assault from not just criminals and gang members but reckless politicians like Elizabeth Warren, it’s reassuring to know that Geoff Diehl has our backs.”

“Our officers and support staff simply want to go out and do our jobs, enforce our laws, and keep our communities safe each and every day,” said President Parlon. “We know that Representative Diehl shares our passion for public safety and once elected to the U.S. Senate, will fight to make sure we can keep criminals off our streets in Massachusetts and around the country. I want to thank Representative Diehl for taking a stand and supporting the brave men and women of law enforcement, and that’s why we’re proud to stand with him.”

“Certain elected officials and politicians seeking higher office have engaged in hateful and often false rhetoric against our officers and employees encouraging widespread death threats and the targeting of ICE officers, employees, and their families,” said Chris Crane, National President of the National ICE Council. “For these so-called leaders to enflame this type of hatred toward our officers and staff – at a time when law enforcement personnel are being targeted and have been assassinated on our nation’s streets – marks a truly dark time in our country’s history. It’s comforting to know that some, like Representative Geoff Diehl, still understand the value and importance of supporting the brave and courageous men and women of law enforcement.”

“Geoff Diehl understands that national security, or even basic border security, does not exist without the interior enforcement of a nation’s immigration laws, as the horrific events of 9/11 and indeed terrorist attacks worldwide have proven,” said President Crane. “With over 2 million criminal aliens estimated to be currently residing in the U.S., our jails and prisons are already dramatically overcrowded and local police are often overwhelmed, begging for ICE and its resources to assist in making our communities safer.

President Crane continued: “Those calling for the abolishment of ICE, like Elizabeth Warren, don’t understand the significant threat to our nation’s security and the safety of American communities that their ideas present. Thankfully, the law enforcement professionals of ICE have no greater friend than Geoff Diehl and I look forward to working with him as a U.S. Senator.”

The National ICE Council represents the over 6,000 rank and file ICE law enforcement officers and support personnel who enforce our nation’s immigration laws, apprehend dangerous criminals and keep our communities safe each and every day. The men and women of ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) serve in all 50 states, Guam, Puerto Rico, Saipan, and the U.S. Virgin Islands and in Fiscal Year 2017 made 143,470 overall administrative arrests. Of these arrests, 92 percent had a criminal conviction, a pending criminal charge, were an ICE fugitive or were processed with a reinstated final order. (Source: Fiscal Year 2017 ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Report.)

Support from the law enforcement community across the Commonwealth has surged in the past few weeks. Among the law enforcement officials and groups publicly endorsing the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate:

Diehl Wins Boston Police Endorsement

Diehl First Republican To Receive This Endorsement

BOSTON, MA—Today, surrounded by Boston Police officers, Geoff Diehl, the Republican nominee, announced that he has won the endorsement of the Boston Police Patrolmen Association (BPPA).  The association does not typically endorse in federal races.  It is another major sign of growing momentum for Diehl.

“The choice is very clear,” said Mike Leary, BPPA president. “We have an advocate who will fight for Boston police personnel as opposed to someone who undermines our efforts to keep neighborhoods safe. Geoff Diehl is our candidate for U.S. Senate.”

The BPPA represents over 2000 police—the third largest force in New England—who put their lives on the line to keep Boston safe.

“I am honored and humbled by their support. Every day they courageously work to keep our streets safe.  They need a Senator who will have their back not throw them under the bus to score political points.  Warren calls them racists.  I call them heroes,” said Diehl.

“Earlier this year I was able to ride along with a police gang unit.  It was an eye-opening experience.  Our police are on the frontlines of fighting the drug war.  As a father and husband, I am truly grateful for their efforts and the risks they take.  They can count on me to stand up for them in Washington,” said Diehl.  “When elected, I will continue to do the ride-alongs to learn from our police on a firsthand basis.”

Support from the law enforcement community across the Commonwealth has ramped up for Diehl. Among the law enforcement officials and groups publicly endorsing the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate:

Law Enforcement Backing Diehl

Another Major Police Endorsement – NEPBA

CHELMSFORD, MA—The New England Police Benevolent Association, representing over 5,000 law enforcement personnel, has announced its formal endorsement of Representative Geoff Diehl in his bid to unseat Elizabeth Warren.

“Geoff Diehl is the kind of leader we need to empower and champion our law enforcement community,” said Jerry Flynn, the union’s executive director. “His legislative record supporting men and women in blue runs in stark contrast to the rhetoric espoused by Warren.”

“I’m proud of the enormous trust and confidence our men and women in blue are putting in me,” said Geoff Diehl. “When our men and women on the front lines have the resources and support they need from our leaders, our families and communities can feel safe and secure.”

Support from the law enforcement community across the Commonwealth has steadily grown since Diehl’s decisive win in the primary. Among the law enforcement officials and groups that have publicly endorsed the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate:

EVANGELIDIS ENDORSES DIEHL

Law Enforcement Support Continues to Grow for Diehl

Worcester, MA…Today Representative Geoff Diehl, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, proudly announced that he has received the endorsement of Sheriff Lew Evangelidis.  Diehl has now won the endorsement of three Massachusetts Sheriffs.

“As sheriff, my primary responsibility is public safety,” said Sheriff Evangelidis. “Our current senator’s policies and rhetoric have done nothing but divide us and endanger those in law enforcement. We need a United States Senator like Geoff Diehl, who will have our back instead of someone who puts us in a position where we need to watch our backs.”

Support from the law enforcement community across the Commonwealth has mounted since Diehl’s decisive primary win.

New Bedford’s Constantine Endorses Diehl

New Bedford, MA…Today Representative Geoff Diehl, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, announced that he has received the endorsement of former Governor’s Councilor Dr. David Constantine (Formally-D-New Bedford).

“I am so pleased that Dr. Constantine has crossed the aisle to endorse my candidacy for the United States Senate.  He is a great leader for the First District and proudly served the surrounding communities in the State Senate.  He always puts the people first and has made a positive difference in so many lives.  His strong support will help us win New Bedford and the surrounding communities,” said Diehl.

“I am very impressed by Geoff Diehl.  He has shown a great commitment to New Bedford and our issues.  He has had the courage of his convictions and I trust that he will deliver for our community.

We both share the same voice for family values, and the return to morality in our great country today.

I am pleased and honored to endorse Geoff Diehl for United States Senate,” said Constantine.

Dr. Constantine is a lifelong Democrat and a former ex-officio member of the Massachusetts Democratic Party.  He was elected to the Governor’s Council in 1992 and served for eight years.  For 37 years, Constantine was a Oral Maxillofacial surgeon, helping thousands of New Bedford residents.

Diehl has traveled regularly to New Bedford. He has met with members of the fishing industry and developed a plan to revive the industry.  Last week Diehl spoke at the South Coast Chamber of Commerce.

As the next U.S. Senator, Diehl plans to use his RV as a mobile office so area residents don’t have to travel to Boston to see their Senator.

“We need a Senator who will stand up for the hard-working people of Massachusetts and focus on growing our economy.  While Senator Warren has focused on putting money in herwallet selling books, I have focused on putting money into yourwallet,” added Diehl.

“Massachusetts is too great for a part-time Senator.  We need a Senator who will focus on the citizens of the Commonwealth,” said Diehl. “From the time you wake up in the morning and until you go to bed in the evening you should be working to help the people of Massachusetts.  I think people should come first ahead of oneself.  Our Senator needs to do their job by putting you first!”

Diehl won the Republican convention by a thirty-point margin and the Primary by 29 points.  He has been earning many endorsements including: Representatives David DeCoste, Marc Lombardo, Jim Lyons, Shaunna O’Connell, Lenny Mirra and Peter Durant, Senator Bob Hedlund, Youth Conservatives of Massachusetts, former New England Patriots Fred Smerlas, Steve Grogan, and Matt Light, Red Sox Champion Curt Schilling, comedian Lenny Clarke and broadcaster John Dennis, to name a few.  Diehl was the first candidate to receive a major law enforcement endorsement. DIEHL WINS BIG ENDORSEMENT: Malone Endorses Diehl

Braintree, MA… Today Representative Geoff Diehl, the endorsed Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, announced that he has received the endorsement of former State Treasurer Joe Malone.

“I am proud to endorse Geoff Diehl for U.S. Senate.  He is the only person in the race who had the courage and wisdom to stand up and say that Hillary Clinton was not the right choice for our country and supported Donald Trump.  Geoff will have a seat at the table for Massachusetts which means he will be able to do more for our state,” said Malone.

“I am extremely pleased to have received Joe’s endorsement.  His endorsement sends a clear message that we are the campaign that can defeat Elizabeth Warren,” said Diehl.  “As State Treasurer, I admire his work in cutting the bureaucracy at the Treasury to save taxpayers money.  Joe put people first and successfully took on government bureaucracy.”

“In 2016, Joe recognized that our country needed a new vision.  He joined me in supporting President Trump who has turned around our economy, cut taxes, and strengthened our national security,” said Diehl.

Malone was born in Newton and is the youngest of seven children of Italian immigrants.  He grew up in Waltham. He graduated from Waltham High School and attended Phillips Andover Academy as a post-graduate. Malone graduated from Harvard University with a BA in government in 1978. He was a standout high school football star continued his success at Harvard by winning the Henry Lamar Award.

After graduating from Harvard, Malone worked for the re-election campaign for Republican Senator Edward Brooke. In 1982 he coordinated Ray Shamie’s U.S. Senate campaign against Senator Ted Kennedy. Malone unsuccessfully ran for U.S. Senate against incumbent Ted Kennedy in 1988, but did gain significant popularity.

In 1990, he was elected State Treasurer and then re-elected in 1994.  During his tenure as State Treasurer he reduced the operating budget by 62 percent. Malone took pension fund performance from among the worst in the nation to the very best and reformed the state’s deferred compensation program.

Diehl’s campaign has been gaining significant momentum.  This week he won the endorsement of Captain Dave Marciano and the Everett Police Patrolmen’s Association.

Diehl won the Republican convention by a thirty point margin. His other endorsements include: the Watertown Republican Town Committee, the Hanson Republican Town Committee, the Bourne Republican Town Committee, the East Bridgewater Republican Town Committee, the Dighton Republican Town Committee, Boston Ward 9 Republican Committee, the Somerville Republican City Committee, the Whitman Republican Town Committee, the Dracut Republican Town Committee, Representatives Shaunna O’Connell, Marc Lombardo, Jim Lyons, Lenny Mirra, Nick Boldyga and Peter Durant, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Youth Conservatives of Massachusetts, all of the Sudbury delegates to the convention, former New England Patriots Fred Smerlas, Steve Grogan, and Matt Light, Red Sox Champion Curt Schilling, and John Dennis, to name a few.  Diehl was the first candidate to receive a major law enforcement endorsement. Captain Dave Endorses Diehl for Senate

Gloucester, MA … Today while touring Gloucester and visiting with fishing industry leaders Representative Geoff Diehl, the endorsed Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, announced that he has received the endorsement of Captain Dave Marciano of Wicked Tuna.

“I’m endorsing Geoff Diehl for U.S. Senate for the simple reason of the abject failure of our current representation . Under her watch, as well as others, we have lost thousands of fishing industry and related jobs the past 8 years,” said Marciano.

“If current representatives were graded on how well they represent the fishermen in the Commonwealth, it would be an F. In the fishing industry if you fail to do your job you are “ off the boat.” The current Senator needs her walking papers or swimming papers as the case may be due to her failure to protect fishing industry and related jobs. She sat back and watched the middle class fishing families be destroyed by out of control government,” added Marciano.

“I am honored to have received Captain Dave’s endorsement. Over the past year, he has educated me on the fishing industry and how federal regulations are threatening the livelihood of our fishermen. As the next U.S. Senator, the problems of the fishing industry will not fall on death ears. Fishermen will finally have a Senator they can count on,” said Diehl.

Marciano is the Captain of the Hard Merchandise that fishes for Bluefin tuna. His boat and crew are featured on the National Geographic show –Wicked Tuna. The show is a competition of Gloucester fishermen on how many pound of tuna they can catch. It gives viewers an upfront view of how difficult and dangerous fishing can be.

The Diehl plan calls for repealing monument status that has closed vital fishing areas, and developing common sense regulations to ensure the protection of marine life. Diehl has talked with many local fishermen to develop the plan including Captain Marciano.

“Contrary to popular rhetoric, fishermen are staunch supporters of ocean preservation. Their livelihood depends on a vibrant stock of fish. I am happy to defend these hard workers that supply food for us. For far too long, Senator Warren has ignored their needs,” said Diehl.

Diehl has traveled repeatedly to New Bedford and Gloucester to meet with fishermen to hear their concerns directly.

Diehl, who won the Republican convention by 30 points, endorsement list is growing daily. The list includes: the Watertown Republican Town Committee, the Hanson Republican Town Committee, the Bourne Republican Town Committee, the East Bridgewater Republican Town Committee, the Dighton Republican Town Committee, Boston Ward 9 Republican Committee, the Somerville Republican City Committee, the Whitman Republican Town Committee, the Dracut Republican Town Committee, Representatives Shaunna O’Connell, Marc Lombardo, Jim Lyons, Lenny Mirra, Nick Boldyga and Peter Durant, economist Stephen Moore, former Presidential candidate Herman Cain, former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Youth Conservatives of Massachusetts, all of the Sudbury delegates to the convention, former New England Patriots Fred Smerlas, Steve Grogan, and Matt Light, Red Sox Champion Curt Schilling, John Dennis, former Holyoke City Councilor Kevin Jourdain, Westfield City Councilor Dan Allie, Sheriff Tom Hodgson and Jim Cummings, former State Representatives Ginny Coppola, Leah Cole and Tim Clarke, Taunton City Councilors John McCaul and Jeff Postell, Agawam City Councilor Cece Calabrese, Stoneham Selectwoman Caroline Colarusso, Melrose Alderman Monica Medeiros, Hopkinton Selectmen Claire Wright and John Couthino, Mayor Bob Hedlund to name a few. DIEHL WINS BIG ENDORSEMENT

Everett Police Superior Officers Local 95, Everett Police Patrolman’s Local 94, Endorse Diehl

Everett, MA…Today surrounded by local police officers Representative Geoff Diehl, the endorsed Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, proudly announced the endorsement of the Everett Police Patrolmen’s Association.   This is not Diehl’s first major law enforcement endorsement.

The executive board and the membership of both Local 94, Everett Police Patrolmen’s and Local 95, Everett Police Superior Officers Association are unanimously supporting Geoff Diehl for U.S. Senate.

“I am honored to have the support of these dedicated police officers who put their lives on the line to keep us safe.  They humble me with their endorsement,” said Diehl. “This important endorsement emphasizes that I am the law and order candidate who will make public safety a priority.  I am committed to proudly supporting our law enforcement officials who bravely serve our community every day.”

“We take our endorsement process very seriously; after reviewing the candidate for U.S. Senate, there was only one choice to make – Geoff Diehl.  Today we are proud to put our full support behind his candidacy,” said Det. Robert Hall, President of the Patrolman’s union.  “Geoff doesn’t just talk about issues, he takes action.  This spring he rode along with a police gang unit to see first-hand, the problems officers are confronting on a daily basis.  No one else bothered to take time from the campaign to actually learn.  Senator Warren has never reached out.  We know when Geoff is elected, we will have his ear and support on public safety issues.”

“Law enforcement needs a Senator who will support them.  Like many of my fellow police officers, I was outraged with Senator Warren calling the entire criminal justice system racists from front to back.  We have lost too many fellow officers this year in Massachusetts.  We hear her loud and clear.  That’s why we are proud to support Geoff Diehl for U.S. Senate,” said Lt James Gabriel.

“It is our duty to protect and serve.  There is only one candidate who will help us do our jobs and who will not tie our hands.  That person is Geoff Diehl.  Local law enforcement should be able to cooperate with federal law enforcement.  Geoff will have our back in Washington,” said Det. Hall.

The Executive Board member includes:  Patrolman’s Robert Hall, Anthony Flammia III, David Butler, Anthony Dinuccio, Superior Officers, James Gabriel, Steve Panzani, Christopher Hannon and Sabatino Rozza.  Making the presentation to Diehl was Sgt. John Mazzie, Lt. James Gabriel and Det. Robert Hall.

There are 125 members of the Everett Police Officer’s Association, which is the proud sponsor/organizer of the Annual Senior Dinner at the City of Everett Senior Center, for over 30 years. They also participate in numerous charitable events including:  Jared’s Run, Everett Youth Football, Boston Children Hospital, Cops for Kids With Cancer, Heroes and Helpers in co-operation with Target stores (Shop with a Cop), Safe Place (Hand in Hand, helping with foster kids), Everett (Casino Road) Futbol Academy, EPOA Chaplains Fund (providing vouchers for hotels for domestic violence victims and food), Everett Boys and Girls Club, and the Washington DC, National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, and other miscellaneous charities.

Most importantly, they work hard to protect the benefits, working conditions, training and equipment of our members so they can continue to work hard to protect all of us in the community.

Diehl has received other law enforcement endorsements including Sheriffs Tom Hodgson and Jim Cummings and the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office County Correctional Officers Association.  The NCSO Officers are men and women who volunteer in their communities as coaches, leaders within their town halls and parent groups.  When not working inside the jail, they support the programs that make all our communities a better place to live.  They have 220 members.

Diehl, who won the Republican convention by 30 points, endorsement list is growing daily.  The list includes: the Watertown Republican Town Committee, the Hanson Republican Town Committee, the Bourne Republican Town Committee, the East Bridgewater Republican Town Committee, the Dighton Republican Town Committee, Boston Ward 9 Republican Committee, the Somerville Republican City Committee, the Whitman Republican Town Committee, the Dracut Republican Town Committee, Representatives Shaunna O’Connell, Marc Lombardo, Jim Lyons, Lenny Mirra, Nick Boldyga and Peter Durant, economist Stephen Moore, former Presidential candidate Herman Cain, former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Youth Conservatives of Massachusetts, all of the Sudbury delegates to the convention, former New England Patriots Fred Smerlas, Steve Grogan, and Matt Light, Red Sox Champion Curt Schilling, John Dennis, former Holyoke City Councilor Kevin Jourdain, Westfield City Councilor Dan Allie, former State Representatives Ginny Coppola, Leah Cole and Tim Clarke, Taunton City Councilors John McCaul and Jeff Postell, Agawam City Councilor Cece Calabrese, Stoneham Selectwoman Caroline Colarusso,  Melrose Alerman Monica Medeiros, Hopkinton Selectmen Claire Wright and John Couthino, Mayor Bob Hedlund to name a few.  Diehl was the first candidate to receive a major law enforcement endorsement. The Norfolk County Correction Officers have thrown their weight behind Diehl.
