Diehl: Andover, Lawrence and North Andover Needs Full Time Senator

Whitman, MA…Today Representative Geoff Diehl, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, pledged to be the full time Senator Andover, Lawrence and North Andover needs. “Senator Warren has finally spent a weekend in Massachusetts.  However, Andover, Lawrence, and North Andover need more than a part-time Senator.  These communities need a Senator who will have the time to hold Columbia Gas accountable,” said Diehl.  “Warren has put selling books and building a national profile ahead of her job as a Senator.  It will only get worse if she is re-elected.  Lawrence, Andover and North Andover cannot count on her.” During her first 5 years in office, Warren only held 5 town hall meetings.  Not until she announced re-election did she start to hold multiple meetings.  She has spent more time selling books than meeting with Massachusetts voters. Diehl has promised to hold a minimum of 12 every year.  He is going to…

Fall River’s Correia Backs Diehl for U.S. Senate

Fall River, MA – Today Geoff Diehl, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, announced that former Democratic Majority House Whip and former Fall River Mayor Bob Correia has formally endorsed his candidacy. “As a state lawmaker, Geoff Diehl understands that he needs to work for his constituents, not for a career in national politics,” said Bob Correia (D-Fall River). “Geoff knows our city. He knows our community, and he will make an excellent U.S. Senator.” He is someone who I believe can deliver the bacon. Washington is the largest ‘bacon factory’ in the world and right now, no one is delivering for Fall River, New Bedford, or any of the South Coast communities. I think he will.” “It’s an incredible honor to receive the endorsement of one of Fall River’s most distinguished public servants, whose advocacy on behalf of his community has spanned over three decades.  Bob’s support shows that…

Diehl Launches 100% Massachusetts Ads

Whitman, MA…Today Representative Geoff Diehl, the endorsed Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, announced that he is launching 100% Massachusetts ads in newspapers across the state.  Unlike Senator Elizabeth Warren, Diehl will work for Massachusetts 100%. “Massachusetts needs a Senator 100% focused on our state. Whether it is standing up for our fishermen, having the backs of our police, supporting our businesses or fighting against the opioid epidemic, I will put Massachusetts first not last. We deserve better than a part-time Senator, part-time author, and part-time Presidential candidate,” said Diehl. “I will not shortchange our state by having divided priorities.” Diehl has promised to be a full time Senator and has committed to serving the full six year term.  To hit the ground running, Diehl has already drafted plans to improve care and service for our veterans, fight the opioid epidemic, and reviving the fishing industry. “Senator Warren is not 100% Massachusetts.  She voted…

New Bedford and Marshfield Police Back Diehl

PLYMOUTH, MA—Today State Representative Geoff Diehl, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, announced the official backing of New Bedford and Marshfield Police Unions prior to addressing the Massachusetts Police Association (MPA) gathering in Plymouth. The MPA represents 22,000 uniformed officers throughout Massachusetts and is among the 16 law enforcement organizations publicly backing Diehl. Geoff Diehl “refused to bow to the mob mentality of painting all law enforcement groups with the same broad brush of resentment and anger,” wrote President Hank Turgeon in the official endorsement communication. “The New Bedford Police Union is proud to endorse and support your candidacy for the U.S. Senate.” “The Association of Marshfield Police (Union) voted unanimously to endorse you in the upcoming U.S. Senate race,” wrote Robert Reidy, the association president. The endorsements, which arrive on the heels of the Massachusetts Coalition of Police demonstrate the most police backing a statewide candidate for public office…

Diehl Calls for Warren to Apologize, 4,500 member AFL-CIO affiliate, Massachusetts Coalition of Police, Backs Diehl

Bourne (Bern), MA … Tuesday at the Bourne rotary, Geoff Diehl, Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, called on Senator Elizabeth Warren to apologize as the official backing of a 15thmajor law enforcement union was announced. “Today I am surrounded by many of the same good people who came out for the Back the Blue rally last April. The rally was in support of our law enforcement.  I know that is a foreign idea to our Senator, but that doesn’t give her the right to call these people racist.  Senator Warren owes them, along with our law enforcement community, an apology,” said Diehl. At Friday night’s WBZ debate Warren incorrectly attacked Diehl for attending an anti-Muslim rally in the town of “Bern.” The truth of the matter is that the rally was in Bourne not Bern.  The rally was for the police. And ACT is not an anti-Muslim group. On the…

Diehl: Veterans Deserve Full Time Senator

Haverhill, MA … Today outside of Veterans Northeast Outreach Center Representative Geoff Diehl, Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, said that veterans deserve a full time U.S. Senator. “On day one, I will get to work for the veterans. I will be there for them full time,” said Diehl.  “Our veterans deserve better than a part-time Senator, part-time author, and part-time presidential candidate.  They should not be shortchanged because Elizabeth Warren has decided her top priority is running for President.” Diehl has made veterans a priority.  He has an extensive plan for assisting veterans which includes: expanding treatment programs for opioid addiction, increasing mental health care providers, ensuring veterans have better access to care, creating an independent watchdog group to inspect VA treatment facilities, fixing the statute of medical malpractices suits for veterans, increase women’s health based practitioners, allow veterans to receive college credit for their service, and increasing funding for homeless…

Diehl Launches Full Time Ads

Whitman, MA…Today Representative Geoff Diehl, the endorsed Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, launched ads in newspapers across the state featuring two words: Full Time.  Unlike Senator Elizabeth Warren, Diehl will be a full time Senator for the people of Massachusetts. “Massachusetts deserves better than a part-time Senator, part-time author, and part-time Presidential candidate.  I will work for Massachusetts full time.  There will be no book deals for me.  My focus will be solely on helping the good people of Massachusetts,” said Diehl. “Senator Warren has made her intentions clear that she is running for President.  Warren has been MIA from our state for 6 years.  It took her 113 days to return a call to veterans.  With her running for President, Massachusetts will never get the help it needs,” said Diehl.  “Even this weekend while I was door knocking, she was tweeting for out of state candidates. Diehl has launched…

Diehl Calls on Warren to Apologize to Police, Boston Superior Officers Federation Endorse Diehl

BOSTON, MA—State Representative Geoff Diehl, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, today called on Senator Elizabeth Warren to apologize to the law enforcement community for lying during the second televised debate and further insulting police everywhere. Diehl issued the call at a press conference where he announced his latest police endorsement of the Boston Superior Officers Federation. “Warren knows that her comments regarding the law enforcement community are hurtful and driven by a progressive ideology that caters to the national Democratic base for her Presidential bid.  Last night she lied to Massachusetts voters about calling police racists.  It is time for her to apologize to the police for her reckless rhetoric and apologize to Massachusetts voters for once again attempting to mislead them,” said Diehl. Diehl made the statement while accepting his 14thpolice union endorsement.  The Boston Superior Officers Federation traditionally supports Democratic candidates, but is crossing over to support…
